Day 4 - Daily Sharing of: Gratitude, Concern, Prayer/Inspiration

Today I share one of my favorite Composer/Pianists. Ludovico Einaudi wrote this song entilted, “Due Tramonti (Two Sunsets)”.

It is said that when Ludovico was a boy in Tuscany, he remembered being with his Grandfather and they were driving through the Tuscan hills at sunset. His Grandfather was musing on how beautiful the sunset was and as they reached the top of the hill, sun was about to go down under the horizon, Grandfather said if we drive down the valley we have a chance to come up to the top of the next hill and see the beautiful sunset one more time.

This is the story I remember… I heard an interview with Ludovico Einaudi decades ago where he shared the story; so I admit I may have taken poetic license. This song and this story has brought me hope many times. I believe the analogy works in these times and the music is soothing for the soul.

Enjoy and be gentle as we work to get to the top of the next hill! May it be so!
