About Me

I am a Chaplain, Spiritual Care Counselor and Celebrant who has accompanied many through life's journey.  Born and raised in Iowa, living in the Bay Area and having studied, traveled and served throughout the U.S., the Middle East, Europe and Central America, I have a deep appreciation of each person’s unique journey on this earth. I serve people from many walks of life and many belief systems, religious and secular. In 2012, I completed my Chaplain Residency at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics and continued as an On Call Hospital Chaplain. Prior to this, I served in Lebanon and Syria as a Presbyterian Church (USA) Mission Co-Worker. The past seven years, I have served as a Hospice Spiritual Care Counselor in the East Bay. Currently, I am continuing my studies at The Chaplaincy Institute in Berkeley, CA. Upon completion of the program, I will receive ordination as an Interfaith Minister.

Covid-19 Note:

For the first 120 days of the pandemic I offered daily reflections of Gratitude - Concern - Prayer. Day numbers are since I have been sheltered in place. I encourage you to check out my writings on my blog page. Perhaps my reflections will resonate or help in these times.

In recognition that we are still battling this virus, and people's abilities to gather differ for various reasons, I offer my services virtually and in-person.
